Wes Glebe works with titanium, gold and stainless steel to create truly unusual designs for wedding rings, committment bands, or just a very special ring for yourself, man or woman. If you are looking for a new clean approach to ring design, then Wes is your ring maker! In fact, many of Wes's customers are artists themselves. How is that for the ultimate complement? All of Wes's rings are custom made to order. That means that after you order a ring we will contact you and help you select the correct size for the width of the ring you have chosen. Wes has been designing jewelry since he was 11 and has a varied background in art. In fact when he entered the Peace Corps he was asked to join as a handicrafts adviser and spent 2 years making and designing things out of indigenous materials, including the house in which he lived, and a boat. This background in art has instilled in him the awareness that any object can become ornament or adornment. It doesn't have to be "precious" in order to be part of his personal language. His reason for using titanium is not for its high-fashion aspect but because it is an exciting material to be the carrier for the 24k gold he uses. Marcia |
